Driver rams car into man in St George street
A MOTORIST needed hospital treatment after another driver rammed his car into him in a St George street.
Police are appealing for dashcam footage and witnesses after the incident in Hillside Road, which happened yesterday between 11am and noon.
Officers say a man driving a silver Vauxhall Insignia car drove towards another motorist, who had just got out of his car, three times, hitting him twice.
The Insignia driver then sped off on Air Balloon Road, leaving the victim in need of hospital treatment.
He has since been discharged.
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and was in police custody today while enquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Kristina Windsor said: “This incident could have been much worse and the victim was extremely lucky to escape with the injuries he did.
“It appears the offender has driven his vehicle deliberately at the victim after he got out of his car.
“If you witnessed the incident, or have any dashcam footage of it, please get in touch.”
